If you mean that I am a fishcrane, well, that answer is no. But I have been craned in on many, many times by guys who scope things out a distance, and have seen many a spot ruined.

No, I think that a lot of the respect that fishermen had for giving each other some space has went by the wayside. Trouble is, the more that the young kids see this attitude, the more it becomes the norm.

New to the area, taking out the kids for their fist trip, wife's friends want to fish, and the old I am taking my elderly dad out and we just want to catch a few fish..... Same old same old. How about just put a little work into finding your own spot? What's even worse is guys who fishcrane in on someone else and them play bigshot on this site and tell others where "ther hotspot" is. It's just plain wrecking the fishing.

Better advise from many on here would be, get a big set of binoculars, or better yet, a spotting scope. Then sit back at a distance and watch everyone fish, while paying extra close attention to the guy off by himself. If they pull some out, well then go and crane in on them. If you see them fish the same spot more than once, they are certainly catching some, and again, crane in. Then, post it on here. Works equally good for any body of water!

A good spot is right next to "the pit stop" gas station, go out by the walking bridge (opposite side of the gas station) and go about 10 yards out and 20 yards to the south always caught nice crappie and bluegill there.

I am new to the area I've been told that this is the lake to go to for great fishing, and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to get on a good crappie and walleye hole? Any info will be greatly appreciated

First time out on lake dubay. Fished the point off the county park. Very windy out there, didn't Mark a single fish. Kept moving from 10-20 feet of water and was out for about 3 hours.

On Sunday there absolutely were vehicles out there.

I parked at the Tiki Bar and drove my wheeler under the bridge out near the point. Couldn't get where I wanted because there were 3 trucks out there along with wheelers and trailers.

Plenty of ice, top layer is junk ice though.

Ice Depth: 15"
No vehicles on woods, but there is enough ice (15") and not all that much snow. I walked out today from one of the doctors homes on point. Few white bass. Marked fewer than usual. Was in 18 to 24' of water. Blowing snow made tip ups tough to use. Best was gold kastmaster. Fished 1130 to 3.

Not looking for lots of information but was wondering if people are taking wheelers out to woods point. Are they going off the County Park or by the Dam? Thanks Much...

Lake check out the topo map provided by lake-link. county park is southwest portion of map and woods isn't listed but I believe its the point just north of Wambold, basically the end of wood ln. There will be a number of people off woods (always is) you cant miss it if you venture out.
