Inside the wire is open n the No wake stops at the last bouy. No the river is not no wake it is high but it's normally high. Any respectful boater would have enough common sense to not open it up the last 300 yards from the last bouy to the dam. Whites are still hitting throughout river a boat is extremely helpful. Good luck to all

They really need some garbage cans here. I picked up 4 bags of garbage but there's nowhere to throw them. I had the camping stuff in the truck so I wasn't putting it in there. If there where garbage cans I probably would've picked up almost all of the trash. I'm sure there would be less garbage to begin with if there was somewhere to throw it. The parking lot looks like people just pulled in and emptied there entire car of all the garbage. It's a privilege to fish here not a right. Please don't ruin it for everyone else!

As for fishing me and my buddy tried many lures and live bait. Caught a few white bass, a couple small cats, and some sheepies. Water is extremely high and quite cold. Was kind of a wasted trip. Oh well nice to get away for a couple days.

The refuge signs are still up. I called the DNR. To ask if it was still closed and was told it should be open, they may have forgotten to take the signs down. The two people that answered me didn't give me a 100% sure answer. Whatever.

Isn't the entire river slow no wake right now being so high? Isn't there a no wake area somewhere here? I thought there was but couldn't read the buoy. Boats where just blowing by. Making 3+ ft wake. Angry

Saw several people fishing past it and catching fish, wasnt sure so just left didnt want to make a scene with some of the folks..though i did talk out loud on purpose with my buddies and i believe they heard me so they left..any ways hopefully weather warms up!

First off I want to thank the 2 gentlemen that pulled me into omro after my gas line fitting broke. Also I would like to thank a gentlemen by the name of L.J. for taking me to Oshkosh to pick up the part. With out great men like that I would have literally been up the creek with out a paddle as one of mine broke today. On the brighter side fishing was good. I got out at 4am targeting walleye. Caught one 15lb catfish. at sun up targeted white bass I did manage to fill a cooler with 3 guys. The dam was the most productive spot. Fished from the dam all the way to omro very tuff fishing away from the dam. Sizes ranged from real big to small. All smaller ones were thrown back for next year. Again Thanks to everyone that helped me out today.

Now that's funny Drake...! I don't care who you are that's funny stuff right there boys. I am so sick of people typing a question into this site that could have been typed into the Google search bar and been done.

Yep....You're absolutely correct drakewoodduck. My apologies. I took it as sarcasm. A poor choice of words, on my part and I made it sound offensive.

It did make me chuckle a bit.

Thanks.

P.S....If we ever meet....You can give me the middle finger. Wink

No ice still there, should be out in a week on river side. On ice this morning a lot of carp in there and a couple tiny eyes.
