What a bad year getting shack off the lake. We had to get a guy that lives on the lake with a small dozer to get our shack off and he had a hard time with all the slush, water and deep snow . Only good thing was it only cost $50

Coming up in the next few weeks. Anyone fishing crappies on Upper Post? Just wondering if they are snapping like they usually do this time of year, just drifting across the north end of the lake?

Also, anyone fishing for walleye this time of year. Find them in the spring in the weeds. Was wondering what the method is during the summer. Trolling?

Thanks.

Fished post 5-28. Mainly bass fishing. Caught 5 bass, nothing huge, 16" the biggest. About 10 crappie (not enough big ones to keep any). I hope the water starts warming up. Ready for a good bass bite. I just converted a 12 ft aluminum vhull to a bass boat. Can't wait to get it out. Going up to Boulder lake in 2 weeks with it camping. Anyway tight lines and good luck all!

Large group coming up for our annual Memorial Day Weekend. Looking for some fishing reports on crappie, bass, pike, etc....on what's biting, water conditions, etc.... It amazes me how this body of water is so large and rarely any fishing reports on this thread. Any update would be beneficial. When did ice go out, water temps today, etc. Many Thanks!

Ice Depth: 5" Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 21° - 25° F
I was on lower post on December 29th and 30th, there was about 5 - 6" of ice. Snowmobiles and four wheelers were traveling on the ice, but very carefully. The channel was still open water. No ice is safe ice be careful out there.

The Ice Fishing Jamboree is on February 16th.

Just wondering what part of the lake is better for fishing upper or lower? If anyone want to give me a hint on how to catch some walleye and decent size northern that would be great I'm going to try it this weekend.
