People that cry about people keeping fish with regulations of dnr are just jealous. You know that they can't catch anything and blame it on others. I'm pretty sick of people saying catch photo release. If more people did that for hunting it would be better for all but no one's gonna go hunt and take a pic of a big buck to ensure the future of hunting. We fish to eat fish.
Release to grease, I agree 200%. People should be able to keep whatever they want without having to worry about some tree hugger telling them they're destroying the fish population. This is exactly why I pretty much quit posting on any threads on Lake link.com. Besides the fact that most "fishing reports" are useless in providing no information further than they caught X number of species on a particular Lake on a given day. 80% of the posts don't specify any general area of the lake (off the county park, off cecil bay, off Swan Acres off Weber's point or any other general direction) any specific depth or general description of any type of lure....
“What's the regulation on northerns this year? is it back to 26"? and how many? Appreciate any info.”
When was it ever 26” on Shawano? There are some other Shawano County bodies of water where different pike restrictions exist but this has never been the case on Shawano Lake. It’s always followed the statewide regulations for the northern management zone. No size limit, daily bag limit of 5 fish is where it is now and has been for quite a few years.
Hey guys and gals, HUGE shout out to Cecil, the two dudes that text me, and FIRE and ICE racing. My wallet is at the sheriffs office WITH my money in it. You guys, all of you, are top notch and I am impressed and appreciative of the community. Faith in our fellow men and women is something we need more of. I posted on this site and wrote that wallet and everything in it off. The BEAUTIFUL people of Cecil proved me wrong.
