The Bluegill spawn hasn’t even begun let’s alone the Crappie spawn. The water temps and amount of cold fronts  have everything out of wack.

Forgot the most important part. They should start biting pretty good with the warmer weather.i would think you should be able to catch them now.

Try fishing channel by swan acres you can fish off of dock by the boat landing. Also if you go into Shawano by the wolf river channel that is another good spot. Start fishing right at dusk into the night.good luck!

Ok, thank you. A coworker mentioned he had caught some there while crappie fishing. That could've been 10 years ago though for all I know

I caught a dogfish on Shawano Lake about 20 years ago.  I don't believe there are many so dont think targeting them is worthwhile.  BTW, how is the fishing going?  I was up last week and the bass fishing was very good.  Fished in 3 to 4 feet of water.  We saw two monster musky swimming side by side.  One was definetely bigger than the other and I believe the bigger one was in excess of 50 inches.
