went out this morning with a buddy in cecil and drifted down the south shore. the bite was still really slow but we managed 5 gills, a 14in largemouth, and a 16in largemouth. its starting to pick up thankfully! bait used varied from live crickets, slip bobbers w/minnows, and the bass hit a topwater Booyah Pad Crasher frog. take it easy out there.

Me and the wife took the boat out to try it for the first time and do some crappie/walleye fishing. I caught 3 "6.5" perch on mostly small minnows. Water temps ranged from 53-56 degrees. It was windy and cold out there from 3:45pm till 6:30pm. No hits on fuzz e grubs and fatheads.

fished west shore last night. water temps in upper 60s. did ok for gills & crappies. could not believe the amount of cut/floating weeds at west shore landings, never seen it that bad. Weeds floating everywhere!

Caught a bunch of small perch in Cecil Bay this morning. Got two nice bass off the end of East Street on the north side this afternoon (about 1.5 lbs and 3 lbs)

Fished this am. On west shore Caught 2 bass no gills . Water was very merky yet . Wtr temp 51

Casted Husky Jerks from 3:00 to 8:00. Water temp on west side of lake was 51 and on East side of lake 49. Caught about 25 bass and 10 pike. 26" biggest pike and 18" biggest bass. Lots of floating weeds.

Does anyone have a report they can post?? Thinking about hitting the lake tomorrow with the gf. Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Ty

Thinking about heading up to do a little crappie, perch fishing but dont have access to a boat at the moment. anyone have any idea how the shore is around the cecil bay area just to go throw some lines out for a few hours??

Lake is open! Saw two boats out already today.

There is a gas pump at American Marine. That's located on the West Shore of the lake. Also S & S marina on the south west shore of the lake may have one also. I usually just grab my gas tank and head over to Kwik Trip, it's much cheaper

Does anybody have any idea when the crappies will start spawning and be in the shallows?

Took a look at the north and west ends of the lake today. If the temps get to what they say they will this weekend, I would say the majority of the lake will be open by monday....probably a few big ice clunkers floating around yet and whatever shoreline the ice gets shoved to will not be accessible for a little bit.
