FISHING REPORT
11/15/14 4:45 PM CST
Ice Depth: 2" Conditions: Cloudy Air Temp: 21° - 25° F
Went out this afternoon and set up a few tip ups for a couple hours, ice is right at 2" so be careful!! Ended up with 6 flags, iced a 25 inch northern a 22 inch northern and a nice 18 inch largemouth. 2 other people out saw them get only 1 northern. Ice is thin so be careful and with the snow in the forecast it will be hard to tell where you can safely walk out/fish, etc

If anyone lives close to the grade and can keep us updated on the hopefully coming ice conditions this week, I would personally be very grateful. I make the trip every year for early ice and don't want to miss it this year! Thank you in advance!

FISHING REPORT
6/26/14 7:17 PM CST
Conditions: Sunny Air Temp: 76° - 80º F
Out at about noon. I was targeting bluegill at the time, but surprisingly, I caught a 26in channel cat on a bobber and bluegill hook with a redworm. The worm wasn't in the water for more than 30 seconds before the fish hit it. Very fun! Hopefully someone else gets one bigger! Good luck!!!! Cool

FISHING REPORT

Drove by the grade at 9:30 pm. Things were hopping! 12 cars. Many night fisherman with lights. Saw one of them pull a size able fish out as I drove by. Not sure what it was.

FISHING REPORT
12/8/13 9:37 AM CST
Conditions: Sunny Air Temp: 0° - 5° F Water Temp: Below 40° F
Drilled 4 holes set tent up and hopped in. I agree 100% with Hanzo. There's good action there when the water is right. Very murky and cloudy. Didn't stay long went down to Monona Bay. Peace and Love, Lar.

FISHING REPORT

Drilled one hole yesterday and put the camera down to see pea soup, very different from Tuesday when water was clear and fishing was good. Went to different nearby spot on Lake WI and found the fish. Water was still a little murky but managed 20 or so mix of crappie perch and gills. I laugh at the reports from guys who come to fish a spot once and say its junk. Feel free not to come back, less crowds and more fish for me.

FISHING REPORT
12/6/13 5:58 PM CST
Ice Depth: 5"
First trip to the Whalen grade today, safe to say it will be my last. I was unaware that this area was more of a marsh than a potential quality fish producer. If i wanted to chase snakes in 20 inches of water I would have driven down the road to big Muskego instead.

As for a report- watched tip ups for 4 hours with one snake northern to show for it. Jigging was equally dismal. Ice was a solid 5" everywhere I drilled. If anyone enjoys fishing in a knee deep mud hole this is your spot.

Thanks for the explanation. I see the grade runs north south but I understand what you are saying. I drive across the grade every day , just bought a house up there but have not fished it yet as I am more of a deer hunter, Quite a bit of open water on the east side of the grade this morning but the ice looked okish near where most people were fishing last weekend. Going to giver a try Sunday morning see ya out there I will be sittin in a double bull hunting blind.
