MOON PHASE (92%)
Waxing Gibbous
Went out today between 12:00 and 5:00. The fish were shallower today compared to previous days. Caught my limit of fish in 6-10 feet of water. 24 gills and 1 perch. Gills were between 7.5-9". Also caught a few bass and a couple grass pickerel. No crappies today. I drilled about 20 holes and only 3 of them produced fish. All fish were caught on a Lindy Toad in the Coach Dog color and a wax worm.

Fished this morning from 8-10:30. Caught a number of small gills and borderline perch, which went back in. Brought home a couple of very nice gills, a nice crappie and a perch. I've had pretty good luck with Tungsten Mooska jigs in the smallest size available tipped with wax worms. Color doesn't seem to be a big factor for me, but I use blue, red and pink most often. Orange is also a good color choice for this lake. I fish Lake George regularly and the action has been consistent for me. I do best in about 10 feet of water. Earlyretirement - That is a grass pickerel... It's in the pike family and I catch one of those almost every time I go out. Lake George is the only place I've every caught a pickerel. I don't think they are a fish for eating - I always just release them, but they do put up a nice fight on an ultra-light jig pole. I'm usually disappointed though because I want that fish to be a jumbo perch. There are also nice perch in Lake George. It has been a good year for me on this lake. With March here, it will be open water before we know it, so enjoy what's left.

3-1-15 Went out today to see if i could get some underwater video out here. Lake is not as clear as i though it would be. Could not find much for fish in the shallows. More fish out past 10 feet.

Is the first fish in the video a northern or a hybrid musky?

MOON PHASE

Found someones fishing stuff on the lake today! If you can PM me with what you lost I will tell you where I placed it so you can pick it up! Smile As for fishing today, it was pretty slow! However, there was a 20 minute window at dusk where my MarCum screen lit up like crazy! Ended up catching 12 crappies and gills!

I use to bring my 4 wheeler out there to fish. I have seen shantys left out there before. I just wouldn't go in to shallow of water because it is spring fed.

I was wondering if you are allowed to bring an ATV out on the lake and also if you are allowed to leave a shanty out on the ice? Thanks for the help guys.

Earlyretirement, I thought that was you out there again yesterday. Great videos you make! I was excited to see if I made it in the background but I didn't hahaha! After drilling about 30 holes and trying all of the usual spots with little success on keeper fish, I decided to try a new area on the lake that I've never seen anyone fish. Glad I did! Ended up with 22 nice fish that will feed the family for a few days. Majority of fish were caught on a Lindy Toad in the Coach Dog color tipped with a waxie.
