FISHING REPORT
12/22/07 7:55 PM CST
Ice Depth: 4" Conditions: Cloudy Air Temp: 36° - 40° F Water Temp: Below 40° F
Had some pretty good luck this AM. Fished 15 ft. of water using waxies and spikes. Came home with 19 gills and 1 perch. No real jumbos. Perch measured 8 inches. Gills from 6 3/4 to 8. Kept one rod suspended just off the bottom with a larger jigging spoon while jigging with the other. Plastic seemed to help the finicky biters. From 8-10 the bite was hot with not much work required. Before and after that had to work the jig a little to trigger the bite. Several fish came from higher up in the water column. If you can't get them to bite, try banging the bottom, then slowly raising your jig in short intervals. Good luck-tight lines Big Smile

Fished 8:30-12:30 am Managed to get 14 ft aluminum boat in water. Had to use oars to push my way in thru weeds. 1 ft deep for quite a way out. Deep muck ! Lots of gills and small bass on worms and bobbers. A few small bass on spinner baits. Kept 15 gills Fish caught mostly along northern shore Plan on trying Ennis and Dates next.

Anyone know what restrictions are regarding motors on those two?

How is the boat ramp? Can I launch a 14 ft aluminum boat there? Are gas motors allowed? Electric trolling motors?

Caught more than enough bass and gills today. To catch bass one after the other i recommend getting a red 3/0 hook and some plastic salamanders. Cast these tight to cover and anywhere by lily pads i guarantee you that you will catch bass. If not let me know. Good Luck, Bass Pro.

Found male bluegills on the nests, females appear to be mostly spawned out. Had fun with 7.5 to 8 inch gills. Caught some bass - all of which were small 12 inchers. Lots of fun.

Well plenty of ice fishing comments. Anybody have any luck on Lake George during the regular fishing season yet?

I tried 3 days in a row and not a bite, better luck off the boat landing on 44.

Girl at kwik trip provided tip.

Keeper Gills and Crappies straight out from landing, not huge but keepers it's a close walk in the deep snow.

Madrevaeb, Do you know, Is TIM SMITH a reliable source of fishing information or full of it?
