As long as programs like IDO do shows and put a map up of the area, people will make the connection. All the sloughs and  and associated back waters have a limited abaility to replenish themselves. Each year you get some high water and fish disperse to all points on the river. Water goes down and there it is. PDC is a large area compared to most but it can still take a beating. Nelson alma Merrick are all examples of this.

Stay safe out there guys

Tight lipped indeed.  I whole heartily agree why I would not want to let the cat out of the bag...  Accessing these fish is no doubt very challenging.  The ice conditions can change pretty fast, and current areas are danger zone.  Be careful..  And I hope this fishing stays on the positive side.  Its disheartening to see special fisheries like this get beat up and loose.  Tight lines, JH

These backwater bites are becoming increasingly popular. I drive by these back waters all the time and see people fishing but never here a whole lot said.......kinda makes a guy wonder.

Those mississippi river rats are pretty tight lipped.  Thinking about trying it for myself. Boat or ice or boat to ice whatever it takes. Whos in!

Good fishing -Silverfish
