Took a gent out today and the fish were waiting for us all stacked up ready to eat. We caught several over three pounds and a couple of fours. We had several people standing and watching us catch them so I am sure that tey will be standing room only there tomorrow. what they don't know is the place the fish are hanging is about 12x12 on a big point. The fish are real active but won't move far from that spot. Put your bait there and bang.  The big boats are out in full force so done for the day... The water is muddy and the lake is rising. You must be careful out t here lots of junk floating.

Calm still hot day today... However the fishing was red hot. we fished from 7:30 this morning to 11:30 and caught at least 40 bass .. We had several up to four pounds and a total of fifteen keepers at least. We caught all of the fish on secondary points in fifteen to twenty feet of water. The fish bit on both a crankbait and a shaker head. I found the fish stacked up on some shad on my Lowrance Electronics and we went to work on them.. Great day for sure.

Took a outdoor writer out today at 12:30.. A grreat time of the day when you need to catch fish.. Thank you fish gods because in the first hour we had clse to a limit and a bonus walleye. Hate to say it but the bass are all still swimming but the walleye is in the sine soaking in salt water. I am getting ready to release it in lake crisco..  The lake is still stained but the fish are eager to eat.. All of our fish came on a crankbait today fishing 5 to 15 feet of water.

Didn't schedule any guide trips for the weekend because of the holiday . I had a dad call me last minute and talked me in to taking him and his two sons fishing for a couple of hours. The fishing was great but the boat ride was terrible. I traveled down the lake about 3 miles but I had to go about twice that coming home because of the boat waves. Nine months of the year this lake is great 3 months it is terrible.

Now to the fishing report part.... The lake is and muddy it is at normal pool. They are running water through the dam like crazy and the fishing is great. You can catch them on just about anything you want to fish.  I hear a new pattern is working just about dailey.  Don't be surprised while fishing for bass that a big and I mean big catfish does eat your offering.. I have caught several over 10lbs and and got broke off on several real heavy weights this past week. About everybody you talk to talks about the one that got away..

Good Fishing!

Another good day on the lake.. a little cold front blew through but the fish did not really seem to mind.. You can catch them if you try right now. What I mean by that is they are biting several different patterns and sometimes you don't know what you might catch.  There is a Jig bite ... There is a Shaker Head Bite...There is a crankbait bite  And there is a spinnerbait bite Yes that is right just tie on something cast enough and you will catch them..... The lake is normal pool and the water looks like you could plant corn in it but the fish are eating all sizes all kinds .  This week I have caught Lots of Largemouth Bass, Kentucky Bass ,White Bass, Walleye,Flathead Catfish , Blue Catfish and several perch. All on a Squarebill Crankbait.  Sounds crazy Hey you got my vote.  What i am trying to say is come on down the fishing is great...

Wow I can't believe that it has been this long since my last post.. I have been fishing every day and catching them too. The lake has gone and got high and the water is muddy.  It took the fish about a week to get use to it but now it is on like never before.. You can go out and catch a bunch of fish if you know what to throw.. I am not telling exactly what to throw but if it has a square bill it will probably work. Not only is the lake muddy but they are dumping water as fast as they can. However they are dumping Truman into our lake so the water is not dropping but staying the stable. The current are pulling the fish to the main lake and that turns the bite on...   Now is the time to come fish Beautiful Lake of the Ozarks.

Caught several bass today but most were short real short.. I am going to try something different with my client this afternoon and see if that makes a difference in the size of fish. With the almost full moon I think a spawn cycle should be ready to go so hopefully the fish will be a little more happy to eat in a little shallower water. Been catching fish on a shaker head with a trick worm and a topwater bait. The fish were relating to the old shore line and now that the water has risen hopefully the new fish will move up.

Tough morning on the lake today.. All of the tournament guys are in this area fishing today because we have clearer water. The lake is really getting muddy from all of the rain we have had and the dirty water is heading downstream.  We caught a few keepers and some short fish this morning on a shaker head but it sure had change from yesterday. Hope this afternoon is better..

Super windy today 30 to 40 Gust. I always say the wind is your friend but today was ridiculous. We caught fish in about 8 feet of water on a shaker head and a trick worm. The bite was from a real light to lets jerk the rod out of your hands.Tried the wacky worm and topwater with no luck.  Had 15 plus fish with 4 keepers Tomorrow is going to be a better day...
