With the air temp at 100 and the water temp 90 the fishing is TERRIBLE!

It has been as tough as a two dollar steak and really miserable out there on beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. The fish are really snacking on the huge shad population as there is inch long shad ever where. We caught fish but we are struggling catching any big fish. We are fishing with Drop Shot and also the big old monster zoom worm.

Make sure that you keep yourself hydrated and handle your fish properly.

The fishing was slow this morning . Finally found some fish on some brush piles that were 15 to 20 feet deep. The fish were hitting the worm very light. Tried crankbaits and nothing would hit them.Started at 6 am and the fish never really got going.

The youngsters have been catching them lately too. Early morning topwater fishing has been pretty good for about the first half hour of light. Then the bite changes to a deeper bite. So much more fun catching those fish shallow than deep.  Topwaters such as Chug Bug Wopper Plopper and Pop R seem to all work equally well. The wacky worm has been catching some fish also.

Been fishing a bunch but had a computer break down so off line I was...The fishing has gone into its typical summer patterns. They have not really been running much water which makes the bite a little tougher. The fish are in brush in 15 to 25 feet of water and the bite is so light you can barely feel it.  Big worms are the lure of choice and of course that would mean a Zoom Old Monster for me...

Happy Forth of July!!!!

Fished this morning and caught some shallow fish early on topwater. Then things got tougher as the day started.. Fished some ledges and the fish were simply not wanting to bite.  The big boats came out and it was time to head home...

Two in a row tough days..The fish just are not wanting to bite the past few days. You can see them chasing shad but they simply wont hit a fake bait..I have no idea why but it is happening.. Hope it was just a weird couple of days as I need to have a good day the next couple of days...I have been fishing shallow I have been fishing deep but nothing seems to be working...

The water is hot and the fishing is hotter. Took a dad and his two sons out fishing this morning.. The guys boated a bunch of fish with most of them being keepers .. We were fishing off shore structure in 15 to 25 feet of water . The fish were bunched up on shad and were eager to eat a drop shot.. Good times had by all.  Fish the area with the locator before you fish it with a lure if you see fish streaking fish them if not move on.

The lake is clearing up and the fishing is HOT.  Go find yourself a windy main lake point check it out for streaking fish with your lowrance and catch them.Drag a worm or work a drop shot and bang you have it...

The past few days have been great on beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. I fished the past few days with Jim Seitz aka(hook setter)and he let the bass know who was in charge. I don't know how many bass Jim caught but it was a bunch. He caught Big ones little ones and all sizes in between. Jim caught fish on shaker heads and also crankbaits big crankbaits. The fish were post spawn fish and were relating to the river channel points hanging in about 15 to 25 feet of water . Good time for sure .
