With the air temp in the upper 90s and the water temp 90 degrees. It is hard to fish let alone get the fish to eat. Two days ago we slapped them real good . We could catch them on every point we fished. Last night we struggled to catch a bass over two pounds. We fished the same bait the same way except last night we had a east wind.I know that the old wise tale the fish bite the least when the wind is from the east. We fished the same type of structure both nights with the same baits.  GO FIGURE.

Posted are a couple of fish that were from the two night ago trip. Good Fishing

Took a couple of real nice people from florida out this morning. We caught several fish on topwater early. The worm bite for some reason is slow slow .We caught a few but we fished lots of brush piles to get them. whopper plopper was the bait for today..

Put a smack down on those Bass again last night. The fish were once again eager to eat a worm. Really didn't make a difference in color. It was putting it in the right place a wiggling it just right. (that sounds bad) You had to hit the ledge on the sweet spot and then shake your rod a little and then let it fall off. Smack it they would. Caught at least 25 to 30 in just a few hours. Good time for sure .

Happy Forth of July ! Thanks to all who are serving and those that have served

Just got in from a evening trip. The fish were biting from the time we went out 7: 00 until we came in. Forgot the bug stuff and you can only slap yourself so many times.  The fish were eager to hit a big Texas rigged worm in and around brush piles. Good time for sure

First cool day we have had in a long time.Thank god for that!! Went fishing and caught fish flipping boat docks with a worm. The fishing was not bad the catching part was not real good. We had lots of one hit wonders( one hit wonder is a bite then there is nothing there.Makes you wonder what it was) We did catch several nice fish but it was just a joy being out there on such a nice day.  Top water early deeper as the day goes on is the only thing that is working for me.

Off today I got jobs to do but I think I will sneak out for a little fun fishing.

The water temp is as hot as the air temp. That is unreal for mid June. Took a young man out this morning and we nailed them on top water until the sun came up good. Then the bite got as tough as a two dollar steak. We switched from top water fishing shallow to drop shot fishing in 15 to 25 feet of water.

Not real hot this morning but still warm at early thirty. Went out and caught some Kentucky's on wave breaks this morning. The fish were responsive to a top water until the sun got up a little .  Did see some fishing chasing shad thought I might get into some of that action. Note to self stay put. Tried chasing them and they seemed to be where I wasn't. came in early would of like to stayed out longet but had a appointment to go to . we have a cooler forcast later this week but recommend to stay in today as the temp in going to be in the mid to upper 90s.
