Fished the jerk bait this morning early and caught a few bass. Then changed to a wacky worm and it was on like Donkey Kong. The lake has come up about two feet and it changed the bite a little.

Fishing was a little tougher today than it had been. The fish bit good early then we had a cool front blow through about 9am. The fishing was tough after that but we still managed to catch a few. all of our fish came off a stick bait in spawning coves.

The fish were biting really pretty good . We caught all of our fish on topwater. The guys were all wrenches with the World of Outlaw Sprint Car series. Not only can they turn wrenches but they can fish too.

Caught several bass today but we could not catch one of any size.. The heavy weight girls are hiding and hopefull will show up soon. We caught all of our fish today fishing a floating jerk bait in pockets off the main lake... We did see several bass on beds along with huge amounts of crappie.

Fished 04-25 and 04-26. Lots and Lots of guys fishing coves/banks. Water temps looked really close to spawn yet the majority of the largest fish were still staging over deep water chasing shad. Find the bait balls, get bites!

Employing a system no one else really does out here is something we like to do. Being from way up north, we get alot of silly looks from the locals while trolling. But I wonder how many of them locals are catching limits of 12-15" crappies? Our biggest for the 2 days was 15.5" white crappie and it was a male, followed by a 14.750". We didnt keep any fish under 10.5" and only had maybe 7-8 fish we threw back under 10.5" Plenty of drum, catfish, largemouth and whitebass also.

Trolling hardbaits. And they were choking them down. Great time!

Had a Crappie trip today . They are really moving to the spawning banks. We caught them on hair jigs in 4 to 8 feet of water. Good time for sure . Did not fish for bass today but expect them to be going good real good soom..The guys kept a good mess of fish but threw many many back in.

Fished for a few hours mid day today and it was tough. Caught aa couple on a jerk bait but could not get bit on anything else. There are boats everywhere as this is the weekend for the big bass bash. Be careful out there some of them are crazy...

Caught a few bass on a spinnerbait tonight. We had one up to the boat that looked impressive only to throw the bait at the last second.  That's the way it goes the big ones always get away.  The cold front that came in seemed t5o help fishing .

Fished again last evening. Caught a few on the corners of docks in the backs of coves. The fish were hitting a spinnerbait. The wind is blowing from the north as a cold front passed through this morning. It is sunny and I hope the fish are biting better today.

The time has to be near for the big ones to bite. Full moon the 29th some of the big girls surely will make the move.
