Went Out Tues and Wed (6-8 and 6-9)... casting from a dock.

Bass were on fire both nights. 5/5 casting with leech and jig in about 10 fow along the weeds tuesday. Caught 10-20 LM both nights with rock and smallmouth mixed in.

Handful of sunnies caught as well, 8-12 inches. All released, already had this weeks fish fry in the freezer ;)

bite seems to be the best just after sundown until around 11:00.

Went out Saturday afternoon in the rain. I caught quite a few bass on whacky rigs. Biggest was 16.5". The weeds were really thick but I still managed to get over a dozen in the boat within 3 hours. The color was purple. On a side note, the DNR had a guy at the launch inspecting for weeds when you take out.

Ventured out lastnight with a few buds at 6 and fished til about 10:30 and only picked up one walleye. Dragged Lindy rigs all night in all depths between 15 and 30 feet. Only fish came out of about 18 FOW coming up on an underwater point. All we had was leeches so that was the bait of choice.

Noticed a real nice musky floating dead up by the landing with a crappie coming out of his mouth. Fish must have been at least 45in and all of 20-25 Ibs. Real good sized fish, was ashame to see but from the looks of it the fish didn't die of angler mishandling.

Will be back for more.

Seasons about to start so I thought Id throw something out there and see if anybody has anything to report. I tried in early April for crappies and had little to no luck but heard quite a few others were doing well. Looking forward to this season.

Went out near a group of guys-10-15" of water, lots of weeds around. No flags, few bites, few small gills and perch. Overall, probably won't be back anytime soon.

Was out Sunday.

Typical walleye bite on white bear, few and far between. Ventured out a few times this past week and did catch some but all were too small for anything. All fish started biting around 4:30 and shut down before 6:00. My lucky depth has been 16 FOW but it certainly hasn't been magical. Good luck to anyone else.

Caught a few smaller walleyes tonight but certainly not anything to write home about. Pretty sure they thought they were perch because they were mixed right in the midst of a school of them. Lots of action from 3:30 to 5:00 but after that it was cold Turkey. All fish were in and around 16 FOW just outside weeds near the point. Would consider going back but would maybe move one way or another in search of more fish. Heading back out on Sunday to give it another round.

Sey,

I fished on Saturday afternoon trying to stay away from the crowds and did a bit better. I fished the bar just south of Ordways in 15-20 FOW bouncing around hole to hole and had some mild success with Perch. It was same o same o on most but I did catch a few nicer ones here and there. I have yet to catch a walleye thru the ice so I'm still looking to. Everyonce in awhile I hear of some mild success but its always hush hush.

Fished the area full of houses today 12-3. Was in 19fow. Caught a few baby perch and a few small bluegill and that was it, nothing on my minnow tip down. Wheres the walleys? Looked like no one else had much goin on either. Might try it again tomorrow after work. Tight lines.

Wasn't sure about the ice thickness before venturing out but that all changed as soon as I saw the parking lot on the lake. Lots of perminents out there with plenty of visitors. Ended up fishing over by the peninsula in 17FOW. Had several small perch that would come up 2-3 ft off the bottom to hit the bait but non were good enough for the pan. After about 5 they shut off like a light switch and that was all she wrote. Looking to head back out tomorrow night if I can. No flags, and no fish jigging. Not sure where those walters are hiding out.
