First time on this lake, went off of Red Door solo. Hit the deep side of the flats Friday during the day with a few tullibees and a walleye mixed in. Got on top of the flats at low light into dark and did well. All of the action came on a dead sticked golden shiner. They would approach my rattle spoon and within seconds my dead stick would be down. Ended the night with 5 walleyes in 3 hours after dark. Saturday was a different story, moved to a different flat and had almost no luck during the day but at night the action picked up. Caught 10 walleyes between 4 and 1030 pm in 20' of water on the top side of a small flat. 7 came on dead stick, 2 on a glow spoon and one on a rip and rap. I also missed a couple of fish. This was a very easy lake to fish with the right map and almost every hole I drilled I marked fish. If anyone has a secret to avoid the tullibees, I'm all ears.

Ice depth we found were 22 inches, and we were fishing from 23ft of water to 34ft. The walleyes were aggressive throughout the day, but we had our best luck in the early morning. We caught a variety of walleyes between 15" to our biggest at 26". Definitely bring cleats, with tons of water on top of the ice. We launched out of Hunter Point. We also got into great action with the tullibees, finding a honey hole. The tullibees kept the action going during the dead hour when the walleyes were not biting. We caught so many tullibees I lost count.

The fisha re still biting on Mille Lacs.  Ran up there yesterday just to catch the evening bite.  Got on the lake at 3:00, ran out to my favorite Ice Spot, set up camp and proceeded to catch fish.  I had 3 fish in the first 5 minutes.  Going to be a good bite I thought.  Stayed till 6:00a, caught maybe 20 fish, I was all alone, took a few selfies that just didn't turn out right.  Same program, a Shiner under a cork, and a fathead head on a gold jigging spoon.
