Fished a new stretch of a great local stream in west Michigan on Saturday. Fishing has slowed with the lower water and increased clarity but it was still action packed. Lots of browns, biggest was probably 14", couple small rainbows. All fish came on the classic brown rooster tail.

Fished the little Muskegon and it was very slow. One small rainbow, one small brown, and one decent brookie. The fish all came where a small cold spring fed creek met the river. All fish came on brown rooster tail. The water felt too warm for trout. Probably wont be fishing this one again.

Fished a stream just north of muskegon with my brother-in-law yesterday. First time on this stream. The water was crystal clear and ice cold. We caught several rainbows and brookies. The biggest brookie was 11". Isaac caught the biggest rainbow at a surprishing 19.5" which I imagine was an absolute slob for that stream based on the size of the water. Definately going to have to fish this one again. All fish game on 1/8 brown rooster tail.

Fished a brand new stream in Montcalm county today with my bro-in-law, Isaac- (His last couple of days of freedom before he takes the plunge!) We both caught our limit of beautiful brookies. Nothing big but an excellant day of fishing. Fish came on #2 gold Panther Martin and crawlers.

Fished a brand new stream today in western MI and it was phenomenal. Probably caught 50 trout total, half rainbows and half browns. I caught many small fish but ended up with a limit of 11-14" Browns. Caught most of the fish on silver/yellow panther martin. Overall an excellant day in God's creation.
