There is a dock at the launch.

Does anyone know if there is a dock at the boat launch?

Flipped shallow pockets of weeds today with jig and pig, caught some decent largemouths.

10.5" of ice in less than 20 FOW today...didn't go to the deeps where the crappies are. One guy told me there was only 6.5" of ice out in 30 FOW. Bluegills were fairly cooperative today, but lots of little ones to sort thru with some decent eaters in the mix.

Lake has a good population of pans and northerns with the occasional walleye.

I was wondering if Cowboy lake is decent for ice fishing? Seems like it is weedy and has a bluegill forage base - would think it would be good for ice fishing?

The Large mouth bite at Cowboy has been interesting this summer,...its a relatively small body of water, but to many peoples dismay can be quite the burden to properly cover...As I had stated in my earlier "Antione" report the weed choked shallows have produced some amazing Bucket mouths. Using various Top water lures in early light conditions, as well as 3/8 oz. bass spinners in dense cover through out the day..With the onset of colder mornings and evenings many of these trophies are moving deeper, where I'm finding that Carolina rigged Berkley Gulp Smelt (3 inch) is working wonders on various weed beds and drop off lines...
