Chicagon Lake, Iron County (all postings)

I am bringing my family up to this area this summer for a week in a log cabin and was looking for advice on best time for catching panfish bluegill/crappie/perch possibly some catfishing. we are looking to come in june/july possibly early august.

Anyone have a report on ice depth/conditions? Thinking about giving it a shot this weekend.

I was out at this lake before the warm up and there were ice fishing go on at the time on the northend of the lake,me and my friend walk out on the ice from the boat ramp area there were no fees being charge at that area,the park was closed,but the road in to the park was still open.

Does anyone know if they are charging to use the landing---it was outrageous in the summer----------------GOOSE

Not a report was wondering if anyone could provide any info on the lake trout out here and how to find em. Thanks

Only caught a few legal eyes. Kicked back a 23". Trolling seemed to get more fish then jigging by about 2 to 1. Most fish came came on shad raps and flicker shads about 90' back or longer on long lines. Some fish did come on thundersticks. Weather was way to nice for October.

Any reports at all? Coming up in a week to try for walleyes.

I was just up that way and heard on the news a truck wen thru the ice on Chicagon. That is all I know except I think no one died. Just so you know. I can't give a report since I wasn't out there. Just saw it on the news 3 or 4 days ago.

I'm headed up to the lake this weekend and I will be fishing Friday evening and Friday night as well as Saturday all day. I'm looking for some information on where to target walleye for the evening and perch for the day. Thanks. Just messenger me. I'm from the Green Bay area and would be very willing to exchange information on the bay for this area.

Just curious if anyone is driving out there yet. When I was there earlier 3 weeks ago I didn't see anyone driving out and no one fishing. Thanks MJ

Water temp out here ran about 61 on monday. Fish were not cooperating for us. We got one perch in about 2 hours of fishing before we were chased off by a big storm. I spoke to one boat who picked up quite a few perch off the launch on minnows/slips.

Does anyone have up-to-date water temps out here right now?

ANYONE BEEN OUT HERE LATELY? I'M COMING UP SOON AND LOOKING FOR SOME WALLY'S OUT HERE. ARE THEY STILL NEAR THE SUNKEN ISLANDS/ROCKS. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT.
