FISHING REPORT

Conditions: Raining Air Temp: 51° - 55° F Water Temp: 46° - 50° F
Walleye opener slow on the pond, only a couple landed & on the smaller side 18"-19". Slow trolling crawler harnesses worked the best. Had bad weather most of Saturday & was blown off on Sunday. Maybe better next weekend. Gained access through Loomis Landing, talked with some campers there that hit the browns pretty good on the Pine River, Largest was 24" & lost one approx. 30".

FISHING REPORT
1/21/10 7:00 PM CST
Ice Depth: 7" Conditions: Sunny Air Temp: 31° - 35° F Water Temp: Below 40° F
Had a chance to get out on the "Pond" again today. Gained access through Loomis Landing, was running late but had the first hole spudded by 4:30 P.M. Then Set the first tip-up, turned to get the 2nd tip-up ready, looked back at the first, & flag was up, (total time was about 10 seconds)- BAM 32" Northern. Quickest flag I ever had. Finally got Reset after all the excitement being by myself, & got #2 in the water. Sat queitly for about an hour, taking in all the scenic beauty that this body of water has & as the sun was setting #2 flag was up. 29" Northern -a great way to start the New Year!!! Will be posting pics. soon. Check out www.loomislanding.com for phone number & more info. Smile

FISHING REPORT
1/17/10 9:24 AM CST
Ice Depth: 6" Conditions: Snowing
I was out on the pond on 1/2/10 in the first cove north of Loomis Landing. had a couple hours to spare in the late afternoon (4p.m.-6p.m.) & had constant action on all 3 tip-ups-landed one 30" pike & had 3 other flags but lost them in the stumps by time I got to them. Setting up close to shore on the drop off's seem to work the best. Ice was about 6" thick & I gained access through Loomis Landing. The river mouth is all open in front of Loomis Landing but good hard ice to the north-Foot travel only no Snowmobiles or ATV's.--www.loomislanding.com-- Remember the bigger the bait the bigger the fish!!

Fished her hard 7/7 7/8..lost many a plug to the logs and only came up with sub legal eyes..fishin pressure was light...a few folks camped on the points and bluffs, but huddled in there tents, when is summer gonna arrive in the north? Black/silver wally divers seemed to be the most productive lure..also a couple of bite offs..thats what u get when your fishin eyes and pike roam the waters!
