I'd love to learn this body of water as it looks full of potential. Plus the scenery is really nice. My wife and I fished here on the 7th and the 8th. We put in 5.5 hours in the rain and mist on the 7th and only caught 15 fish. A 26.25 inch pike was the best fish. My wife caught a 14.5 inch walleye. Didn't keep the pike and we didn't catch anything else worth keeping. A few small bass and a few good size rock bass. On Saturday we fished in the sun and clouds for 6 hours and only caught 10 fish. I didn't catch a single walleye and my wife caught an 11 incher. A few small pike, small smallies and an okay size rock bass and the fish of the day was an 11.5 inch crappie. So much structure that looks so good just didn't hold any fish.I should have hired a guide.

We got lots and lots of good sized pike and rock bass. I guess you can catch those any where here, a channel by the dam produced the best walleye, lots of smallies 15 inch average though. Everything we caught stayed at the reservoir. i think more people need to practice catch and release here as the numbers we thought were a little low. didnt see your tip till we got back. thank you though

Does anyone one know the general whereabouts of the fish cribbs that were sunk in March of 2015?

I can't help you with how the fishing is right now but I can tell you the bay your staying in has some good fishing in it. This is South bay has one long underwater point plus two sunken islands one of these is marked with a jug usually.... is on the left side can be good for eyes. Each spot are great for smallies. You can also find eyes around the dam.... if you put in your time the main lake is good for eyes and perch you need to find the bars which there are a lot of. Hope this gets you started.

I was out on the reservoir last week for 4 days. We had arguably our worse outing in 15 years for walleyes. There was 4 of us and we only had 2 keepers in 4 days, both were right at 15." Just sad to see the number of shorts being kept at the clean house.

I fished the Reservoir again yesterday with a client for bass. We again found mostly males getting ready to spawn. They were staging near spawning areas with wood or rock. Weedbeds are just starting to emerge yet with the cold spring.

We caught/released several nice bass. We caught most on Senko worms and some on jigs w craw trailers. It will only get better the next couple weeks. Big Smile

I fished the Reservoir yesterday with 2 friends for bass. We found mostly males getting ready to spawn. They were staging near spawning areas with wood or rock. Weedbeds are not growing yet with the cold spring. We caught/released over 40 bass in 6 hours from 13-16"...and caught two big females. We caught most on Senko worms and some on jigs w craw trailers.
