I can't help you with how the fishing is right now but I can tell you the bay your staying in has some good fishing in it. This is South bay has one long underwater point plus two sunken islands one of these is marked with a jug usually.... is on the left side can be good for eyes. Each spot are great for smallies. You can also find eyes around the dam.... if you put in your time the main lake is good for eyes and perch you need to find the bars which there are a lot of. Hope this gets you started.

I was out on the reservoir last week for 4 days. We had arguably our worse outing in 15 years for walleyes. There was 4 of us and we only had 2 keepers in 4 days, both were right at 15." Just sad to see the number of shorts being kept at the clean house.

Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 71° - 75° F Water Temp: 61° - 65° F
I fished the Reservoir again yesterday with a client for bass. We again found mostly males getting ready to spawn. They were staging near spawning areas with wood or rock. Weedbeds are just starting to emerge yet with the cold spring.

We caught/released several nice bass. We caught most on Senko worms and some on jigs w craw trailers. It will only get better the next couple weeks. Big Smile

The navionics app has a good map. The water levels fluctuate greatly throughout the year, so use the depth readings as a general guide, There are hazards out there that are not marked on any map. For a general purpose information map, WE Energies has a recreation map that shows all of the boat launches, campsites and other info. I know at is available online also. There is also a map in the Sportsman connection book covering iron county (page 161). (www.scmaps.com)

I spoke with Andy at Way Dam Resort yesterday- Thursday April 24, '14. He said the reservoir is still ice covered and they have a foot or so of snow on the ground, although the lake ice is starting to turn black now. , a precondition to ice out. Expect a high water condition like last year once the lake ice melts most likely in early May?

A friend of mine was out fishing yesterday and told me there was 6" to 9" out where he was fishing. Still use caution as the ice is going to vary in different areas as there is heavier currents in different places.
