I just joined Lake Link. I dont have a fishing report but was looking to keep lines of communication open with fellow fisherman on Diamond Lake. I have been fishing Diamond for over 20 years. The last 2 years have been the best in 20 for me as far as size, its always been great numbers. However, i am still having problems landing Walleyes. I would be happy to share my knowledge on Diamond, but also looking for help on the Eyes..... Good fishing.

Hi all, I was hoping to get a little help from some locals that fish Diamond Lake...My wife and I visit her family on the island every year, and I have done good bass fishing, but have not been able to locate any pan fish. I have boat access so getting around the lake is not a problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Ey, is this the lake in mundelein? How did you guys catch the perch and walleye? I tried this place two times and caught nothing. What bait, tackle, fishing style did you guys use? Is this time of the year a good time? Can you catch them in day? Thanks please respond.

Ice fished a backwater off the lake. Was pleased to see that the ice was now safe. Fished from sunset to 9:00 on Saturday (1-17). Cut about ten holes but ny got a big bullhead and a small shellcracker on small ice jigs tipped with maggots. On Sunday, I noticed some actiity out on the main lake so the ice is apparently safe out there too, although there was a small open area near the center of the lake. Got skunked in the backwater. Was joined by a few other fishermen but they got skunked as well. Will be back there next week to try the main lake.

I have been fishing this lake for 10 years. I know where to set up for perch, walleye, and pike. More times than not I catch plenty of fish. One thing for sure if you know where to go your in on this lake. If anyone needs info on this feel free to contact me. I will be more than happy to get you all the info you need.

I worked at Park Shore Marina for several years and lived on the lake for several years. I try to fish Diamond as often as possible.

Fished Saturday (2-1)near the ferry during the day and off the NW end after dark w/o success. Got two flags to go near the ferry but no hook-ups. Tried Stone Lake on Sunday (2-2). Got a few small bluegills and bass. Then tried NW part of Diamond and iced a small pike on a large roach 20 down in 30 FOW. No other action at there. Then tried a backwater. Had an immediate hit on a large sucker but missed it. Caught around a dozen small bluegills 9 feet down in 11 FOW on small ice flies and waxworms.
