Iowa River (all postings)

Things started slow with drum and crap, half hooked, half snagged.

Once the sun went down this started to pick up, with blue gills and channel cats. Guys fishing next to use got a white bass and a white crappie. Cats kept biting pretty all night, we just left because we forgot the head lamps....

The gal also caught her biggest bullhead yet... a whopping three incher!! Ok, so maybe it was he first as well... Now he's in the aquarium with the green sunfish and turtle.

River was at 19.19 ft.

Spent about 3 hours there, mostly jigging and a jib below a bobber. Nothing extrodinary, but managed some nice gills, a few large mouths and some greenies. Guy next to us also hooked a small white.

River was at 11.7 ft.

Went down to the Iowa River just below the Burlington Dam. We didn't stay anywhere too long, but tried a number of different spots with no luck.

I did see one little shad where some warm water was flowing in from the hydrolics lab though.
