Was wondering if anyone has had any luck with pan fish? Amount, size, best bait and time of day would help me alot. Want to give it a try but its a 50 mile drive for me, so without a report not worth the trip for me. Any info apperciated.

Fishing was good the past several weeks but has slowed, at least in the front of the lake. Still some good reports from the back. Look for weeds.

Ice Depth: 14" Conditions: Snowing Air Temp: 21° - 25° F Water Temp: Below 40° F
Sorry for the late report. Went Saturday the 18th in a driving blizzaed. Lost track of the parking lot a few time during the storm. There were a lot of people: we were parked by Bird House Point. It was our first time there but people were willing to share info. We had to move around for a while until we found them. Nice gills 8" to 9.5" and a few 16" and 18" cats. Saw some nice black crappies caught by others. Nice place, I'm sure we'll be back.

Hey All

Went to J.C. Murphy Lake ( Willow Slough ) yesterday Most people there were fishing for Bluegills but not having much luck just a few here and there, I talked with one angler who did get a limit but they were small. I did however catch 30 or more bass in the 14 to 18 inch range. using purple worms , soft/plastic jerkbaits and rats. It is topwater and pitching at its finest, most of the fish I caught were in the back channels around patrol road in the lilly pads and brush but I was able to catch fish on the way back there ( one here and there ) and going back to the boat ramp. It is a good time to go and catch a bunch of fish the only thing is it is very weedy, don't let that discourage you bring a push pole, or have an extra battery for your trolling motor and you will have a blast.

Hope this Helps
