Well the main thing right now is the water coming out is clear. I'm sure it's a few degrees warmer but I'm not sure.

thanks for the report.i was down there on thursday by the discharge, just snooping around.i mainly fish other dams in the fox but i have done decent at yorkville .they got it all blocked off by the blackberry creek for construction ,and by the dam for high water.i snuck down there under the bridge but got nothing.its a lil fast moving.seems to be no tresspassing everywhere south of the dam enless u wade or have a boat .i will have to try wading down by the discharge soon, never been..heard good things tho. does warm water come out of that one?

I made it out Wednesday. I duck hunt from the state park all the way up to Oswego but that was the first time fishing this stretch. Brought the boat because I knew the water would be up. It was a bit dirtier than I thought. Ran up to the dam and the bypass but current was too strong and there was no decent slack water areas. Checked the creek and tossed some jigs and jerkbaits but found far too much brush to work it effectively. Finally I settled on the discharge. Parked the boat on the rocks and fished from shore. Managed a half dozen crappie and some small bass. Left a slip sinker rig with a highball floater and crawler on the current seem/mudline while I casted. Snagged at least a dozen shad and carp. Threw some jerkbaits and rubber for musky. Actually hooked up with a mid 30's on a white spring bulldawg. Came off about twenty seconds in. That was the only toothy critter to make an appearance

Heading to that area in the morning for toothy critters. Wondering if anyone knows what the river looks currently. Temp, gauge, flow, color?

Anyone targeting walleyes in the Yorkville area might want to consider the fox by south elgin/st charles. Doing pretty good so far in shallow, slow moving slack water on pink jigs and a minnow. Obviously be careful by the dams, its really moving right now. Good luck, PM me if you got questions.
