Ice appears to be gone was ice every where yesterday at 2 by 2 today was even a boat on the water all ready ,,(some times the ice well sink to a few inches to a few feet under the ice if your going out you might want to run slow till you know for sure ice is not just under the water)we had eagles setting on the ice yesterday at least 6 birds at one time...had gills sunning their self's in shallow water may be why the eagles where here.

Can anyone let me know what the lake is looking like? Is it 100% open yet?

more open water on north end than ice and ice was porous before it snowed on it.

How do the lakes look as of today? Warm weekend and looks like last week of truly cold temps. Any lake's ice reports would be great. Wondering how much ice is gone I am ready to get the boat out of storage

more room at thristy turtle for vehicle/trailer and you can drive on easier. have seen people do this at choppers, they go on by the side of choppers ,the incline to get on to the channel below is not as great as the one across 173 then you drive under the 173 bridge.not sure on ice conditions underbridge/channel. gets very busy there in parking lot on weekends.

I was wondering if you could get an atv with a otter flip over shanty onto and back off of channel lake if I parked at choppers by the a frame house there? Is it possible or manageable to do this And I've heard that if you eat or drink at choppers they don't charge you to park? Trying to find a place to get into channel for the derby this weekend

Was out this morning on south end of channel lake caught 7 gills using waxes, then slowed down. Ice is around 8 inches depending on where you are. Used choppers bridge to cross over to lake marie, set up 2 tips, caught 2 pike, 19 and 24 inch on medium fat heads. Caught a few moregills, not many out this morning. Have enough to make a good lunch. Probably head back this weekend again.
