Fished 10 AM - 6 PM. The bite started slow. Moved around a little didn't mark many fish. Caught a few perch in the 5 - inch range in 14 - 17 FOW. Picked up and moved around 3. Started marking schools of fish in 20 - 24 FOW, and had no trouble getting them to bite.. The bluegills were mostly of the 5 - 7 inch variety with a few 8 inchers scattered in. The Crappies were the majority of the fish caught. mostly 6 - 8 inches, with a few around 10 or 11". Our group of 4 caught easily over 100 fish.. We kept enough for a meal or 2. Bait size, style or color didn't seem to matter much if you were on fish, but darker color horizontal type jigs with plastics was the most effective on crappies. Doubles were common and the fishing was fast paced at times, pulling fish as fast as you could get back down. The size was somewhat frustrating though, and at times we'd just change jigs because we got tired of catching fish, and in effort to find something to coax the bigger fish. We had out 3 tip-up baited with treated minnows and leeches. No flags.
