MOON PHASE (19%)

Fished off the mouth of Tamarack today. Found the fish in 25 ft of water resting between the 20-25ft mark. Didn't think they would be that deep initially, but the camera doesn't lie. Good bite once we found them. Got a good view of the rocks in the old creek bed also.

Went out this afternoon to the block pile. Caught a bunch of little perch and gills, nothing to bring home. Marked them all day just couldnt get any keepers. Had a solid 8 inches of ice with water on top. Wouldnt of wanted to even try it without spikes

Dockknocker, thanks for the heads up. I am going to try that wet lands area maybe next weekend. I heard you have to hike towards the back where it will begin to get deeper which is closer to the pec river. They said if we had high waters lately then fish could've gotten in. At this point I'm willing to try anything out.

That was pretty close to the middle of road bed. Looked like there was quite a bit of pressure there today. Moved down to the block pile on east end and it seems to be getting really over fished. The blue gills and perch were really tiny. vexilar showed lots of fish. Camera showed a lot of small ones!

Fish were really biting today if you could stand the wind. Ice was turning to glass with the wind. Pressure was rising and the bite was on.

Lip-ripper: Yes, it's members only. There is a manned gate. If you know someone, I've heard the fishing is good. Question for you: What about that wetland area off of 26 by the highway? Any fish there?

Is this lake for members only? Moved out to the Freeport area and all of my stomping grounds are quite the trek now. Thanks

Went out today for a couple hours off of beach 2. Had a solid 6 inches of ice with that wonderful 3 inches of slush on top.  Fishing was really slow. Had a couple followers but couldnt get any takers. Watched a couple burst off the bottom and then just hang there. A few people out but didnt see much catching at all.

Went out Tuesday. Were catching nice size gills and a few perch off the old road bed. If your looking for spots to go buy a lake map from the front office. All the structure and cribs are located on there. It's tough fishing with out structure. Lake is about 6" of glass under 3" of snow.
