I agree with Jeff about the second steps. There's a metal post between the second and third steps. From the second steps to the post is where I find the most success in the springtime. Good luck to everyone!

I have always had the best luck from the second set of stairs down to the spillway if you are coming from the landing. Just my personal preference. second set of stairs drops off to around 18 to 20 foot within 15 feet of shore, and it kinda follows that the rest of the way down til you hit the cement valve box by the spillway. They sell a lake map at the office and those are great but if you can get in a boat with a depth finder you can really learn the bottom. I have seen quite a few people fishing on the edge by the landing itself. Its only around 6 to 8 feet in that area straight out to where the boat docks are

Hi everyone I was eating lunch today looking out my deck doors and in front my house about 15 to 20 feet off shore a family of fishermen caught 3 fish I couldn't see real well but they looked to be pretty good size. It was good to see some fish come out in front of the house. Also some good memories being made.
Thanks I know live minnows aren't allowed. The lure I was referring to are those rubber fish shaped lure with a flat tail that makes them look like they're swimming. Hope your having better luck than I am. On a different note there are a ton of loons out today, so fun to watch. Good fishing every body.
Minnows aren't allowed in the lake as far as I know. I assume that's what you mean by swimming fish! If not, my bad. Just hope you see this before you get stopped, because you will be stopped and fined. Security takes themselves way too seriously at LS and half the time they don't know their own rules. Good luck!
