I have not gotten out at all since ice season. Crappie should be sneaking in during the next couple weeks though

Thanks I know live minnows aren't allowed. The lure I was referring to are those rubber fish shaped lure with a flat tail that makes them look like they're swimming. Hope your having better luck than I am. On a different note there are a ton of loons out today, so fun to watch. Good fishing every body.

Minnows aren't allowed in the lake as far as I know. I assume that's what you mean by swimming fish! If not, my bad. Just hope you see this before you get stopped, because you will be stopped and fined. Security takes themselves way too seriously at LS and half the time they don't know their own rules. Good luck!

Hey Fishingbudy3, congrats on becoming a resident there.  I have a friend who resides there and I have fished the lake with him.  Caught some very nice smallies by pitching texas rigged watermelon flake crawdads under and around docks.

It has been a few years since I have fished there, but at the time, whoever is in charge really enforced the lake rules.  We were "pulled over" twice by an "official" in a boat because we did not follow the clockwise rule on the lake.  Meaning you could only travel in one direction on the lake.  If you were trolling the shoreline and had some good action at a spot and wanted to get back there, you could not just go back.  You had to drive all the way around the lake in a circle to get back to the spot that you just fished.

I know that the residents there make their own rules because its their lake, and I totally respect that.  I was just giving you a heads up because you are new, that they do (or at least used to in the recent years) enforce their rules.

Good luck, I have seen muskies in there too.

Tomorrow's the big day. Really looking forward to it. I'm sure you will see me out on the lake. I will try and get in touch with the club. Good luck to all.

Yea im afraid ice fishing is done for the year, but if you thought the ice bite was good, just wait til the water warms up a bit and the crappie start really hitting. Nothing like it

Went out to check the ice today, after putting the ice poles away for the season. Lots of open water by the north side of the dam and some on shorelines. Looks like the ice is hanging in with all its mite.

Did cast a couple times just to say i did.

Was out braving the elements this morning hoping to get a few of those giant musky on crappie rigs??

Probably caught around 30 gills and perch with the biggest being around 3 inches.

Talked to a bunch of people and nobody was having much luck with anything of any size.

Ice is still holding up for now but with the warm up im afraid it will be over soon, shorelines are starting to open up and getting weak on the north side
