I went out Saturday, We fished for most of the day jumping around the usual spots. I think we only caught 4 or 5 very small crappie Lots of people out and everyone seemed to have the same luck. It was cool to see WorkinFire27's camera in action, at least you could tell that there were fish in the area. Always seems like the lake goes dead during the winter, if it doesnt pick up soon i think im going to throw my ice fishing gear away and find a different hobby.

Ice Depth: 3" Conditions: Cloudy Air Temp: 31° - 35° F
Went out Saturday (3 Jan) midday to the mouth of Birch Bay. 3" of ice on the bay, but still some open areas towards the middle that day. We fished in 10ft of water. Tried out Vexilar Fishphone Camera system. We were watching and catching lots of small perch (4-6"), as they swam in schools across the flats. Caught only 1 that was 8". I have never seen perch school like that on LS before, but maybe in a few years it will be a nice bite.

Crappie fishing has been a little slow but i think starting to pick up a bit. Always found black tube jigs with the green tail the best. They were killing them off the dam but its pretty good all over

I've recently got an opportunity to fish this lake a couple times this summer and have never been on it. I hear it has a good crappie population? Any pointers at all would be appreciated. Is there any specific structure that should be targeted? Any pointers via PM would be great.
