Fished 9-11pm. One bite but it didn't hook. Saw some fish jumping just outside the harbor. Nobody caught anything.

Has anyone seen any King's near shore yet this year? If so, what bait do you recommend? Spoon (Red eye? Lil Cleo? or Crocodile?) Mepps (#3,4, or 5?) Cranks? other?

Looking to catch my first King before I move out of the city next month...

Thanks!

I was also out on sat caught one brown on a shad rapala My buddy caught one on bobber and minnow. He ended up loosing two other ones. Out early sunday .first thing i do is let go of power line and loose the whole thing into the lake. Set up new line caught4 nicecoho .Best part the guy next to me broke his line off with a big fish on about two hrs before .On my forth coho reeling in i hook on to his broke off line and bring them both in turns out there was a 18 pound king on the line what a blast!!!.I was getting ready to wrap up at 2pm i get 1more fish on the line and just as im bringing it in a power boat runs over new line and I loose everything$%$^^*&. I gave the first two fish away .I want thank the great guys out there very helpful and friendly .What a great weekend. power lie i used all medium minnows. Maybe one more week left till boat traffic kills it.

Fished montrose on sunday..Set up at 6 and stayed till the hawks game started at 11 ,action was slow all day, it was just to nice out..Caught 2 and had 2 shake off all on cralwers...Fish seem to hit lite and you really had to watch the lines as they seem to be swimming in with the bait and all you would have is slack line with no bell..Talked to a few regs out there and saturday was much better with limits being taken..Saw a few browns caught on smelt or large minnows.Great day to be on the lakefront

We are getting off the wall on powerlines, minnows work best but a few on crawlers.

Still getting them. Not as hot as after the few days of 60 degrees. This Saturday the 2nd should be a decent day.

Hey guys, The coho are slamming out side the harbor. Getting limits on regular basis. Powerling with minnows! Get them while they are hot!

Can anglers still get onto the docks through the lettered gates now (with a pier pass)?

Thanks,

Should be good to go this weekend with the winds and temps. Live bait will be the ticket!

Went to Montrose Thursday from 5:30am to 10:00. Wind was howling from the nw, made for a bad day but better than being inside or at work lol. Anyway no hits and no bumps what so ever. 3 guys were powerlineing with no results oh well thats fishing. Good luck everyone and tight lines.

Teejay, the thing you described with a million hooks is a powerline.
