25 a day 45 for the year.. buy the year if you go more then once
Remember when measuring your fish. The village of Wauconda does it differently than the state does. Measure from tip to the y in the tail. You would have to catch an 11.5 inch crappie measured the states way to be a legal fish in Wauconda.
A 24-hour Seasonal Temporary Shelter is defined as a Shelter erected for use for a period not to exceed 24 hours and is removed after each use. That is right out of ordinance from police quick tip sheet handed out when you get permit. Note that it states"after each use". Permit is good all season. Jim
I wish it were a joke, but no, it is not. $25 for the day, or $45 for the season. Portable shelters are not exempt. Permit is available at Village Hall / Police Department. Here is the link to more information.
What a joke...$25 for me to fish the lake one time? does that apply to a one man flip over? Went back a ways and did not see a distinction. Was going to take a buddy out who lives there and has never ice fished this weekend and use my popup. I don't live in the area. Not paying $25 to use my pop up one time.

Finally got on the ice today. Fished from 2:30 - 8:00 on north side and set up in 15fow. Used a red teardrop tipped w/2 spikes on jigging rod and #6 aberdeen with small minnow on dead stick. Caught some gills on jig .Size range from 4" to 8 1/2".As soon as sun started to fade the dead stick was on fire. Crappies were hitting.Pulling minnow off bottom they would hit it about 2 to 3 ft. up. Caught over 30 and missed many more. Kept 2 gills over 8" and 3 crops over 10". On a side note. Stopped at police station and got my permit. I just got set up when officer came by to check licence and permit.Thanked me for buying permit and told me 100% of permit fee,s will go toward restocking. He told me that they have had problems with people keeping every fish they keep. Hope this would cut down on the poaching. Tight Lines Jim
