I ended up emailing the US Army Corps of Engineers and they sent me this link with the IL and Mississippi River maps. They may also be purchased in hardcopy form from the Mississippi River Visitor Center by calling 309-794-5338.

I'm looking for a map of the IL river that shows the wing dams, sand bars and dams. I was told by a guy while in Marseilles that there are a good amount of wing dams near the islands down by Starved Rock and Ottawa. So far my search hasn't come up with anything.

Martin, water level is up just a little bit, clarity is it bad just off a little. They have been catching some white bass kind of on the tail run of that.but if you plan on putting in at starved rock you need to get there very very early during the holiday weekend Park has been at its capacity and have been shutting down parking

Stopped by around 3 PM. Cold and windy. No one else was there. Water level ok but visibility seemed low. Water temps appear to be back down. Spent some time casting but too cold and windy. May need to wait for it to warm up.
