thanks i usually go infront of the launch or northeast corner not to much venturing

FYI this lake is spring fed. do not assume ice is safe everywhere just because it is safe in one spot, be careful and check it often if you do not know the lake. north end had three inches last week and open water on edge.

went out friday morning for a few hours. the lake is 90 percent locked up. the middle east end is still open. but most of the lake is locked up. i walked straight out from the bridge on the west end all the way to the east end. hope this helps.

I got the same ? was gonna drive there monday but it's hour n half away dont want to get there and not be able to fish any help would be appreciated

went by in the afternoon. south end still open..1 tent fishing north end.

Was by there yesturday and there was still a big part open on the south west part of the lake filled with geese

I really doubt it is good to go, that creek channel has turned me my buddies around a couple times. Look back on the thread, take a spud bar! Please post if u go and check

I haven't been there lately but have fished other lakes near by and I bet that wind has blown off snow in a big area of duke giving the illusion that it is not locked up due to black ice. I would bet it is good to go.

wow!!thats surprising.. i do know there is a strong creek channel that runs through it and it normally takes a little longer for nice thick safe ice but figured it would be ready by now.. thanks for info

late report stopped out on way home yesterday for a little bit with a good friend we tore the bass stripers up on nightcrawler under a bobber. shad dying all over the lake went to try and find the crappie but never found one. ah well ended up with a dozen or more largemouth and another 20 or so stripers.
