Ahhh! March finally! With these warmer weather its time to get back in the game and out of hibernation. Feb. sucked for fishing so i threw the towel in. With over twelve hrs of light a day the fish are gonna start there annual migration and i plan on interfering. Stay top side as conditions change rapidly in march. Keep safety picks and a rope with you if ya plan on getting some late ice jumbo's. Be at it tonight. Only gonna get better! Cool Tight lines

petes.pub, I would recommend to keep eye non stop on craiglist of all near by cities. It is the main place to sell such stolen items. By the way I have tilt trailer for sale on craiglist as well (http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/snw/4868616857.html). But it has a clean title. I will let you know if notice something on craiglist cause I am always there online.

Why on earth would you think it headed south? The vast majority of license plates at the Bluegill road lots are Wisconsin issue.

Met up with The Plumma this afternoon and tried to put a hurtin on them gills. We hit the east bay and managed to each get a half a dozen keepers after sorting thru I don't know how many hundreds of dinks Wink. Just kiddin, not literally hundreds but it seamed like it. The Plumma graciously donated his fish to my deep fryer for dinner, my wife thanks you Smile

FISHING REPORT
2/5/15 8:18 PM CST
Ice Depth: 11" Conditions: Sunny
Got out around 12:30 fished till 5:30ish with a buddy from the sportsman's club. Tried two of my regular spots with 0 to show. Moved to east bay where we picked up some nice gills. Just enough for dinner. Fish were kind of tight lipped. Seems like every time I would change presentations you could pick off one or two then that was it, change again. I was introduced to a Hexifly jig that seems to do most of the work.

Still a rough ride out there, thought the sleds would have packed it down a little more. Should be good to go after this Sundays radar run.

Too cold to work......gotta go fishin.....

Hi Everyone, Yes, Wonder Lake is a Private Lake. Lake Users are subject to ALL applicable rules and regulations of the MPOA, US Coast Guard, IEPA, IDNR and the Village of Wonder Lake. The IDNR and VWL will be out on Wonder Lake this Sunday for the Radar Run as well. NOTE: The west bay has the dredge pipeline and pump station still in place. Stay away from there...ice may not freeze like other years due to dredging. Reminder watch for Rip Rap. Caution flags and stakes are visible. Use Caution when ever out on the Lake. Big Smile

yeah pinboy thought that was weird myself. Grabbed for my license a few times. He never asked. I'm assuming from the looks of the thread that he was enforcing a state law. We all know how much money our state has. Lol I'd still be asking my lawyer (not the fish) lol, about it. Technically the lake was not private that day though. So i think you eat face on that one. Sucks Puke Sorry. Glad you and the guy were able to work out the ran over tip-up. Big cudo's to the Wonder Lake Sportsmans club for the event and getting the auger back to joe. Back after em today! Oh yeah, decent heave west of fire ball island. You hit it and your getting wet. A few others started yesterday, nothing to worry about yet. Keep ya posted! From the sounds of things a lot of changing ice conditions on a lot of lakes. Keep your eyes open out there and have your safety gear with ya. Example, fished two spots yesterday with 5-6 in. of ice. Every were else was 10-12. Gonna be a tricky thaw when it comes. Tight lines

Lol, I've had my share run over as well, this time I won. I saw the guy hit it, jumped on the quad and chased him down. He was a nice enough guy and replaced it with 1 of his. We made sure they were well marked after that... Thanks for the link rks. Im pretty sure I found a way to keep the damage on the ticket minimal. It just ticked me off they walked into to lake from between 2 houses, past 2 other groups of fishermen and right up to the sleds. They never checked a single fishing liscense. I always try to be respectful....

Pinboy, lots of states now require insurance on snow mobiles, ATV's, and even golf carts used off your property.
