Lol! I hear ya pinboy. The older you get, less is more! Smile You were right. Creek is very scetchy now with the dredging. Opened up good yesterday and today. Was eating it from the bottom up! lost a few inches in current areas. Main lake was in good shape. Gonna be a sloppy one! Marked a ton of fish. Just wouldnt bite today. Managed enough to keep me from getting skunked.Them perch fry up nice! Tounge Out After cats in the morning. Then on too panfish and bass hopefully. Good luck to all.

Thought that was you pantera. I was too lazy to head over there so I kept an eye on you from the couch.I soaked boards off and on for 3 days with nothin to show. The bay's full of perch but that's not my thing. Good luck to everyone on the derby and don't forget dnr will be out. Seems like there more interested in insurance on snowmobiles than anything else....

iamanderson. the ice is good. ice contest like stated is north of fireball to keep the contest's on safe ice. There are holes (aka) springs near center and current in westbay due to the nippersink creek! so this ice is never truely safe becuse its always changing. So travel is at your own risk. the last holes that were open are visable now by darker ice. southbay is shallow and has current coming from a creek that comes in from some ponds. With that being said take caution. stay in bounds if you want to be on safest ice, remember no ice is safe. use common sense and help your neighbors! Good luck to all!

Was out tues, fished westbay. all the way too the mouth of the creek. Seen ya pinboy. still not safe by the new main creek channel. 10-12in south of fireball. perch action was hot. Size was medium. kept 25 for dinner. Cant wait for the derby. Plenty of ice on the north end for it.80percent of the fish in 20percent of the water. Fireball north is good by me. Cool See you all out there. Flag up! Oh yeah, noticed a one foot difference in depth in west bay finally! Dull

I'm new to the lake, I live on the Southwest side. How is the ice down there? I see people say stay out of west bay and South Bay. Can I fish near Acorn Path, between the West and South Bay? Just wondering how the ice is. It's too far for me to walk to the north end. Thank you for the help.

well was off of Howe road in the bay. Yesterday 7 inches of ice in every hole I drilled. Plenty of very small seeds a few decent gills. Some small bass. Also fished off of Bay View drive. With some nice folks. 7 inches there too. Again small perch and small gills.

Nice reports guys. Fished northwest side today. 6-7f. Managed some nice gills for shore lunch tomorrow. 8in. range. few missed cat flags. little slow. Cant wait for this warmer weather. Fish should be slamming. Take caution with the warmer temps. Plenty 0f ice though! Tight lines!

Went out today from 10am-3pm. The bit was on,a lot of smaller perch and gills but for every 10 dinks there was a keeper. seems like people moving closer to the dam which isn't the safest ice so be careful!
