Fished all weekend. Targeted perch and gills. Searched deep and shallow. Rock, sand and mud. Finally found fish today. Used orange ice jigs. Water with current was the key. 3ft. Nothing huge, just nice medium sized fish. 6/7 in perch and 7- 8 in gills. Wow what a nice weekend! And the sunburn hurts! Lol. Enough fish for a good Sunday dinner! Tight lines!
The wonder lake Sportsman Club will be hosting on February 26 the raffles portion of the derby at 2pm at horizontal in center of town by lake.ice fishing has been cancelled due to lack of ice come on out enjoy the day with us and win some prizes.
The center of lake is opening up from west bay to marina to white oaks bay all the way to east side of lake there is alot of open water in this area all the creek openings r opening up and channels leading into lake r very dangerous

Fished Look Out Point 10 til 3. Lots of little perch and a few gills mixed in. Caught 3 sea donkeys and a 12" sucker. Had one other carp break me off. Making ice all day.....you'll probably only have the next 2 days to fish here. This warm up will kill the ice.

been a stellar season so far. so decided to hit the lake that go tme hooked years ago. for the 2nd time this season. i ended up realizing why i bought a gas auger. drilled 20 or 30 maybe 40 holes. fishing the north east sideid say 4 what most would keep gills 3 8' perch and enough dinks to feed a small village??? perch where ripping my jigs up lures and jr jig tails. left at dark not really sure what to do to weed out the small fish just hope 3 years from now it picks up. headed to RED lake MN next week so no reason to get upset.
Due to the weather and unstable ice conditions we r postponing the ice fishing derby until feb 26th the shorelines r unstable and center of lake, west bay, whiteoaks bay extending all the way across to east side we have open water and skim ice please be careful
Fished west side of lake sunday am.. was a little nervous getting onto lake, shore ice 2 feet out was about 1 to 2 inches. After getting out onto the lake the ice measured at least 7 to 9 inches thick 15 feet out. We caught at least 50 gills and perch with 1 bonus bass. Fished about 4 hours and if we culled out the dinks we would have only had 10 keepers. All were released. All in all had a great time with great weather almost 40 degrees and SUNSHINE!! And last of all minnows and spikes drew nothing waxworms and a white glow jig killed em. Instant bites. With warm weather slated next week this could be the best end of ice fishing. Stay safe.... tight lines.

Went out on the Northwest corner this a.m. . Not much to show for the time spent today. I was a little surprised that the ice was only 6 inches. Didn't make it out very far, felt a litte erie walking around for some reason. Shore line broke off on my way back in right at the boat ramp. There are some spots that don't look real healthy. I would feel better if we had another little cold snap.
(Greenheadhunter give me a call...I dropped my phone down the hole today don't have any contacts)
Thanks for the lake info... was up at wonder a couple weeks ago and the shoreline was dangerous.I heard about the lake geneva fatality, sad the obituary on lake link was moving. Hoping this cold snap will firm up the shore at least.
