I usually do well with a wacky rigged senko or a small firetiger crank
Wonder Lake, McHenry County
Any advice for this lake? I've lived here for 10 years and have only been on it probably 10 times with minimal luck. I'm looking for bass and just can't seem to find them like I thought I would. I know they're there. Any help would be appreciated. I fish the docks primarily when I go out, am I missing something? Thanks all.

I had not been out much, too warm. Went out yesterday (10am to 2pm) caught a lot of small blue gills. The 4 biggest were around 7.5 inches. Fished by the dam in 8.5 fow, with worms and waxworms near the bottom.

Fished from shore by beach on west side 11:30 AM-1PM. Caught several small largemouth on #2 Mepps spinner. Had a large carp on but never got it to shore. Also a couple nice sunfish caught and released on spinners. Released this one back for someone else to catch another day.
