Had a good day today on Egypt fished brush in 8' to 14' with a jig and bobber set at 5'.

Fished Egypt last week for bass and found fish shallow 2'-4', deep 15'-25' and everywhere in between. Had our best luck on a pb&j jig with a pb&j zoom trailer.

Over half the lake is still frozen, but everything up by the power plant is open. Caught our fish in 7'-8' of water fishing a jig and bobber set at 5' against the edge of the weeds.

Heading down for the rest of the month. Just checking to see how things are going with this great weather. Did great last year with big swim baits in pearl and white metal flake in 10 to 20 feet on steep drop off's back by narrows towards clitly creek. Took a lot of pre spawn females over 4 lbs. I agree with the big baits for crappie. My group took several larger fish on 4 and 5 inch swimmimg tubes in shad colors. I am amazed by the amount of tourneys held EVERY weekend on this lake. Good to see some more reports coming on this thread. Hope everyone is catching and not just fishing. later
