Rend lake fishing guides/ Crappie predator, has been putting the fish in the box for our clients as usual to start the year off. 375 fish for our clients in the last 3 days. We have been fishing jigs on drop offs in 10'-14' fow. Lately the best colors have been electric chicken, chartreuse, and pink pearl. Here's my opinion on the fishing at Rend lately. Fishing has been good, although tougher than most are used to for this time of year. It is mostly to do with the much warmer than usual weather. This year is not easy as most but good numbers of good fish are biting you just have to be in the right areas at the right depth. We are catching fish several different ways, most are coming from brush and stake beds in the middle of the lake or the rocks and bridges on 154. There is an abundance of smaller fish in the under 9 inch range. We don't keep anything under 9 inches though unless it is hooked deep and going to die anyway. The keeper fish we have are all 9 to 14 inches. For reference on our board it is 10 inches between the boards. Today we had six fish over 14 inches there's a picture of them below.

how big are the Crappie. Last time I went to Rend they were mostly in the 8 inch range
